My Childrens Car Beds
A typical young boy’s (and some girls’) toy box contains multiple kinds of cars from sports cars and race cars to fantasy cars and theme cars. A love affair with cars begins at an early age, indeed. Why not capitalize on this interest by giving your child a car bed. This may make your child eager for bedtime as well as providing many happy hours in creative play on the bed.

You won’t find all of them at your local furniture store, so I suggest you spend some time on line searching out all your options before making a decision or purchase. You will find average pricing ranging from $150 to $500. Most of them come in twin size, although a few come in double size.
Childrens car beds are available from Little Tikes, Disney, and KidKraft. Local furniture stores and some department stores like Wal-Mart and Target carry a selection of models. If you have something specific in mind, but can’t find it, you could talk to someone in your area that designs and builds furniture. Maybe you and even your child could be involved in the design process.
Little Tikes is known for quality toys and children’s furniture and their childrens car beds line is no exception. Some of their best selling models are theme beds like the “Lightning McQueen” toddler bed, designed from the movie Cars by Disney. This car bed features Goodyear tires and realistic decals to help your imaginative child “drive in many exciting races”. Another choice of children’s car beds is the Thomas & Friends bed from the popular Thomas the Train. A fire truck bed was created by “KidKraft” that has ladders for safety rails.
Childrens race car beds may be a good choice for older children who have outgrown the Little Tikes look. The NASCAR Victory Lane bed can be obtained in twin or full size. It has storage areas built in and matching accessories like dressers, desks, and nightstands can be added. Step2 has a Stock Car Convertible Bed that can be converted from a crib mattress to a twin size mattress. When in toddler mode, it has a molded in racetrack by the footboard. This can be removed for the twin mattress when the child is ready for a bigger bed. Genuine sponsor decals are included. The original price of this bed is $410 (mattress not included). However, as I am writing, I found a sale price on line of $299.99. For that girl who is into cars, Little Tikes has a pink twin pink sports car bed. This also comes in cherry red.
Just Kids Stuff has a New Style Race Car Toddler Bed as well as an Old Style Race Car Toddler Bed. You can imagine your child “racing” to bed with either of these models.
Childrens car beds create fun atmospheres in children’s bedrooms. While no one really guarantees that one will make getting your child to bed easier, a car bed will create an avenue for imaginative play.
